Scoutmaster Notes
September 9, 2004 1) Updated Troop Calendar on the web and at scout house. Check it out and plan to participate. 2) Justin Barraco’s Eagle Court of Honor will be held with the Troop’s regular COH on 9-14-04. We will meet in the New Worship Center. Please plan on arriving before 6:45pm. I need several adults to supervise refreshments and set up in the Hospitality suite. If you can help with setting up, please call Dan 598-9854. 3) Vikings bring 2-liter sodas. Sharks bring Salty snacks and dips. Eagles bring Cookies. Hopefully baked. Dragons bring Brownies. (not your sisters) Bats bring Veggies to make trays and dips. Lighting bring Cheese and crackers to make trays. Vipers in charge of clean-up. 4) Need to turn in all money for the cow calendars. 5) Please re-read scoutmaster notes from 8-17. There are several things listed that I need help with, but have not heard from anybody.
Big Thank you to Pandora,Amber, Roland and Dustin Wentworth for organizing Trop 13’s participation in the Annual Jerry Lewis MDA telethon. If you have ever watched the telethon you would understand how big and important this event is to so many people and their families. When you volunteer to answer phones for a few hours you get a totally different perspective and appreciation of what it means to have to live with a disability. The scouts that volunteered to help and the adults, deserve much more than a mere thank you. But , for now I will say thank you for giving your time to help raise money and awareness to the ongoing fight to find a cure for MDA.
